About Texas Outdoor Lighting
Texas Outdoor Lighting was founded in 2007 by Joel & Beth Mayor. Using an old blue Saturn sedan as our company vehicle, our company had very humble beginnings working anywhere we could around Central Texas. Fast forward 19 years and we now have a fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers to install and service projects all over the Lone Star State. We have done our best to maintain our integrity, honesty, top notch customer service and best looking lighting designs over the years, no matter if it’s a $7,000 install or a multi-million dollar estate.

Lighting Designers
Joel Mayor
Owner
Born and raised in the Lake LBJ area, Joel graduated from Llano High School in 2000 before moving to San Antonio to attend UTSA. Soon after 9/11, he left college to join the U.S. Navy and serve our country, as his father and grandfather had done before him. After his enlistment was over, Joel had worked for a landscape company in Richmond, Virginia where he first learned about landscape lighting. Once he moved back to Texas and started a family, Joel started Texas Outdoor Lighting to continue his passion in outdoor lighting and supporting his growing family.
Mason Hancock
Lighting Designer
Mason is originally from a small farm town outside of Oklahoma City, and has now lived around Central Texas for about 8 years. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 with a degree in finance. Growing up, he worked all sorts of jobs, from stripping cars in a salvage to serving in restaurants to helping produce live events for Sooner Sports. During that time, he learned that he wanted to spend most of my time working outside. Working for Texas Outdoor Lighting designing custom lighting systems allows me to be outside, meet interesting people, and see new beautiful properties almost every day.

Jordan
Installation Foreman
Jordan grew up in Liberty Hill, Texas. In his spare time he enjoys working on cars and heading to the racetrack. Lucky for us, he loves working and considers it one of his hobbies!
Gavin
Installation Foreman
Gavin grew up in Austin, Texas and graduated from Marble Falls High School. When he is not at work, he enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends.
Adam
Maintenance Foreman
Adam is from Kyle, TX and attended Lehman High School. Prior to working with Texas Outdoor Lighting, Adam worked as a landscaper and landscape lighting technician. In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with family, playing basketball and barbecuing. Adam’s favorite food is hamburgers.
Jacob
Maintenance Foreman
Jacob is from Austin, TX and attended Lehman High School. Prior to working at Texas Outdoor Lighting, Jacob worked at Chick-fil-A, Wal-Mart, and as a landscaper. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys playing football, video games, and spending time with his family. Jacob loves being outside more than anything.

Beth Mayor
Owner
Beth was born in Tyler, Texas but was raised in the Houston area. She moved to Austin in 2001 to attend the University of Texas at Austin and she is a Longhorn through and through. Beth met Joel after his honorable discharge from the Navy and they soon had a marriage, a house, three kids and this business together. She enjoys reading, going to the movies, fishing, traveling near and far, and having Nerf gun battles with her family in her downtime.
Deeann
Office Manager
DeeAnn is originally from Canada. She moved to Texas in 2008 with her husband. In DeeAnn’s spare time you can find her at the ball field watching one of her two boys playing baseball. DeeAnn loves to read, spend time traveling and having quality home time with her family.
Jessica
Business Manager
Jessica was born and raised in Southern California and attended California Baptist University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Her and her husband moved to Austin in 2015 with their three kids and love it in Texas. She enjoys weekends watching her kids play basketball, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
