Austin Outdoor Lighting Company

Texas Outdoor Lighting was founded in 2007 by Joel & Beth Mayor. Using an old blue Saturn sedan as our company vehicle, our outdoor lighting company had very humble beginnings working anywhere we could around Austin and Central Texas. Fast forward 18 years, and we now have a team of highly skilled installers and a fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers to complete projects all over the Lone Star State—and even outside of the country.

Throughout our years in business, we’ve always maintained our integrity, honesty, top-notch customer service, and superior lighting designs, whether it’s a $7,000 install or a multimillion dollar estate. We develop creative designs specific to each property we work on, including many custom-built fixtures that we maintain well after we complete the installation.

Born and raised in the Lake LBJ area, Joel graduated from Llano High School in 2000 before moving to San Antonio to attend UTSA.

Soon after 9/11, he left college to join the U.S. Navy and serve our country, as his father and grandfather had done before him.

I am originally from a small farm town outside of Oklahoma City, and have now lived around Central Texas for about 8 years. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 with a degree in finance. Growing up, I worked all sorts of jobs, from stripping cars in a salvage to serving in restaurants to helping produce live events for Sooner Sports. During that time, I learned that I wanted to spend most of my time working outside. Working for Texas Outdoor Lighting designing custom lighting systems allows me to be outside, meet interesting people, and see new beautiful properties almost every day.

Beth was born in Tyler but raised in the Houston area. She moved to Austin in 2001 to attend the UT Austin, and she is a Longhorn through and through.

Beth met Joel after his honorable discharge from the Navy and they soon had a marriage, a house, three kids, and this business together. She enjoys reading, going to the movies, fishing, traveling near and far, and having Nerf gun battles with her family in her downtime.

DeeAnn is originally from Canada. She moved to Texas in 2008 with her husband. In DeeAnn’s spare time you can find her at the ball field watching one of her two boys playing baseball. DeeAnn loves to read, spend time traveling and having quality home time with her family.

Jessica was born and raised in Southern California and attended California Baptist University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

She and her husband moved to Austin in 2015 with their three kids and love it in Texas. She enjoys weekends at the ball fields watching her kids play, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
